The Town of Whitestown will once again sponsor a Summer Sports Camp program. This program will feature a wide variety of sports clinics for town residents ages 7-13. This is a eight week program that will run from June 25 to August 24. Participants can benefit by learning fundamentals and improving skills in sports such as football, soccer, ice hockey, Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Ultimage Frisbee, Volleyball, Tennis and Badminton.
Registration for these week-long camps will be June 11,14 & 21 from 6 -8:00PM at the Whitestown Community Center. The cost for each camp is $55 per week for one child and $45 per week for any additional children.
Our coaches for the program this year will be Jamie Hall and Lindsay McDonald. Both are Whitestown residents and have extensive backgrounds in teaching and coaching. Currently they are teaching physical education in K-6 at the Oxford Elementary School in New Hartford. The Ice Hockey Camp will be conducted by the Whitestown Youth Hockey coaches.
We are looking forward to providing recreational opportunities for your children. Please note that the Sports Camps will be held at Dunham Manor Park this year. The Park is located at the base of Hollywood Drive. Our new improvements to this site make it an excellent location for thise camps.
