SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD

OF THE TOWN OF WHITESTOWN,

HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29, 2005 7:00 AM

AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER IN SAID TOWN



TOWN BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:

                                    Matthew J. Shannon                             Supervisor

                        Charles R. Gibbs, II                             Councilman

                                    William Copperwheat                           Councilman

                                    Brian Brooks                                        Councilman


TOWN BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:

                        Daniel Sullivan                                      Councilman



OTHER TOWN OFFICIAL PRESENT:

                                    Joanne Zegarelli                                    Town Clerk

                                    Nancy Hartman                                    Finance/Personnel Director


The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 7:05AM. The Town Clerk took the roll call. 


The Supervisor stated that Jim Stoddard from Haylor, Freyer & Coon insurance company was in attendance.


Jim Stoddard discussed Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. and gave a presentation to the Town Board.  Mr. Stoddard discussed various insurance claim scenarios and the benefits the town receives from Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. 


The Supervisor stated that a quote has been received from another insurance company and both cost and services were close.  He stated that a decision must be made and asked for a motion


Upon the motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Copperwheat, it is

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby awards the Town’s insurance to Bailey, Haskell & LaLonde from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006.

All voted aye.

Motion carried.


The Supervisor asked for the following resolution.


Upon the motion of Councilman Copperwheat, seconded by Councilman Gibbs, it is

RESOLVED, that the Town Board agreed to hire Eric Deck as a part-time recreation attendant at $6.41 per hour.

All voted aye.

Motion carried.


There being no further business to come before the board, upon the motion of Councilman Copperwheat, seconded by Councilman Brooks, the meeting was adjourned at 7:29AM.
