Parks and Recreation

The Whitestown Recreation Department is primarily responsible for the facilities used for recreational purposes within our township. We have 4 neighborhood playgrounds, a Town Park and an Ice Arena for recreational use. Organized programs are held each summer in the parks. Year round ice is available at our arena. We are home to many leagues in outdoor sports as well as Whitetown Youth Hockey, Whitesboro Central School Hockey and Notre Dame High School Hockey. A wonderful atmosphere of co-operation and local pride accompanies our great facilities. A strong emphasis on youth activities is apparent at all the recreational sites.

Summer Sports and Recreation Program

 

The Town will offer a seven week summer sports and recreation progrom from June 29 to July 31, 2009.

 

Participants ages 7 to 13 can benefit by learning fundamentals and improving skills in a variety of sports and axtivities.

 

Jamie Hall will be returning as our coach.  He is a  Whitestown resident and has an extensive background in teaching and coaching.  He is currently teaching physical education k - 6 at Oxford Elementary School in New Hartford.

 

Cost and Administration Fee

     $55 per week for one child. 

     $45 per week for any additional children in the same household.

     $60 per child if registered after June 18th.

     All fees are nonrefundable/nontransferable.
